Engineering Department Manager – Automation & Robotics

Talos Automation is supporting a leading customer in the search for an experienced and driven Engineering Department Manager to lead their Burlington engineering team.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in automation, robotics, and industrial systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading engineering projects, mentoring teams, supporting customers, and driving technical excellence across both hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering personnel
• Manage engineering projects from concept and design through to implementation
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables
• Review technical specifications, system designs, and engineering solutions
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, operational efficiency, and team training
• Collaborate with internal departments and customers to ensure successful project delivery

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering management or leadership role
• Strong background in electrical controls, automation, robotics, or industrial systems
• Proven project management and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer relationship skills

• Occasional overtime and site travel required
