The Opportunity
We’re working with a cutting-edge automation technology lab delivering advanced robot-controlled manufacturing solutions across global markets.
They’re looking for a highly experienced PLC expert who thrives in complex environments, enjoys hands-on commissioning, and wants to work at the intersection of PLC, robotics, and advanced industrial technologies.
This isn’t a standard commissioning role – it’s for someone who can own systems, solve problems fast, and deliver results on-site anywhere in the world.
💡 What You’ll Be Doing
- Commissioning and optimising automated systems worldwide
- Troubleshooting complex PLC & automation issues directly on-site
- Integrating robotics and new technologies into live environments
- Supporting feasibility studies, pilot builds, and prototypes
- Delivering technical training to customers (German & English)
- Working across lab development + live customer projects
👉 Expect real variety: one week in the lab, the next on-site solving critical issues.
⚙️ What They’re Looking For (Must-Have)
PLC Expertise (ESSENTIAL – expert level in at least one):
- Siemens (TIA Portal / Step7)
- Rockwell (Studio 5000)
- Beckhoff (TwinCAT)
Robotics Experience (strong working knowledge):
- ABB / KUKA / FANUC / Stäubli
Additional Tech (at least one):
- Vision systems
- Laser technology
- Bonding / screwdriving tech
- Special machine applications
👤 Your Background
- 5+ years in automation / special purpose machinery / commissioning
- Strong experience in international project environments
- Confident working directly with customers on-site
- Able to deliver training in German & English
- Flexible and comfortable with frequent global travel
